About You:
As the Head of Family Law for Hartley Law Limited, you will hold a key position shaping the future of the firm. Committed to both short and long-term interests, you will not only oversee the family law operations but also set policies, approve critical decisions, and help influence change in the industry. You will be empathic in your delivery and yet solid and compelling in your communications. You will be confident in your skills yet open to doing things differently. Ideally, you will have experience in dealing with domestic abuse cases.
Main Duties:
In this role, you will build and strategically lead the family department, sculpting it into an effective and dynamic team. Your responsibilities extend to managing legal cases, advising family law clients with a specialist focus on domestic abuse cases, and assisting in marketing initiatives to drive change in the industry. As Head of Family Law, you will ensure compliance with professional regulations and proactively keep the firm at the forefront of industry developments. Key Responsibilities:
o Strategic Leadership: Direct the family law department, making critical
decisions and helping to drive the firm’s vision with a focus on domestic abuse
cases.
o Legal Expertise: Manage and oversee legal cases, providing expert advice and unparalleled service to the firm’s family law clients.
o Business Development: Collaborating with and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including experts, barristers,and referral partners.
o Team Management: Lead, train, and supervise staff, help recruit staff, foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, in line with our firm values.o Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, networking, contributing to the firm’s success.
o Compliance and Efficiency: Ensure adherence to professional regulations, implement industry best practices, and promote best practices in client care.
o Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of the family department.
o Client Relations: Respond to client queries, build strong relationships, be trauma informed.
