We are seeking a Director of Property (Lawyer) to join Hartley Law on a permanent basis. The firm has prestigious international luxury retailers among its clients.

About You:

As the Director of Property for Hartley Law Limited, you will hold a pivotal position with statutory responsibilities, shaping the future of the firm. Committed to both short and long-term interests, you will not only oversee direct business operations but also set policies and approve critical decisions. You will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 6 years PQE in Commercial Property and/or Residential Property.

 

Main Duties:

In this role, you will build and lead the property department, sculpting it into an effective and dynamic team. Your responsibilities extend to managing legal cases, advising commercial property clients, and spearheading marketing initiatives to drive business growth. You will also hold the role of Head of Conveyancing, and you will ensure compliance with professional regulations and proactively keep the firm at the forefront of industry developments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct the property department, making critical decisions and driving the firm’s vision.
  • Legal Expertise: Manage and oversee legal cases, providing expert advice to commercial property clients.
  • Business Development: Market the property department strategically, in collaboration with our marketing and communications executive, contributing to the firm’s growth.
  • Team Management: Lead, train, and supervise staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, in line with our firm values.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the firm’s success.
  • Compliance and Efficiency: Ensure adherence to professional regulations, implement industry best practices, and create efficiencies within the firm.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of the property department, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Client Relations: Respond to client queries, build strong relationships, and actively engage in the recruitment of top talent and be client-focused.
